In the third decade of the 21st
century, Dr. Jon Conneaut is a doctor for hire by individuals
wanting an abortion for themselves or loved one. Fanatical
conservatives have total control of America and abortion is against
the law so Dr. Conneaut’s work is generally done secretively.
President Lisa Christian has total and utter revulsion for doctors
breaking the law surreptitiously has developed an agency whose sole
priority is getting rid of abortionists.
Jon has spent most of
his career hiding his medical practice from the law, however, that
changes when his lover, a fellow doctor, Julia discovers one of
their colleagues had been killed and hung in the streets of Salt
Lake City, Utah. Not long after Julia is hunted down by the
government goons and killed in her hotel room. Jon’s practice is
also discovered by the government and he barely escapes a trap set
by them while performing an abortion in San Antonio. Although the
secret clinic of doctors to which Conneaut belongs is still strong,
he is told to leave the country before the government catches him.
Dr. Jon flies the Bermuda islands, and within a few hours of being
there, he receives a phone call in his hotel room. Someone is
asking for an abortion. How did they discover he is there? He
wonders and therefore is very cautious as he goes to the meeting
place. That is when he meets Sally, who runs a brothel on the main
island. She is pregnant. Following the abortion Sally and Jon
develop a relationship that soon evolves into love. And though her
he meets another doctor, Tom Sessions. Tom invites Jon to share his
medical practice. Jon obliges and begins to once again to practice
medicine…and of course the occasional abortion.
Jon begins to breathe a
little easier thinking he has escaped the U.S. government, but
President Christian has long arms and soon Jon’s whereabouts are
discovered. He is eventually taken into custody by the goon squad.
However, on the way back to Florida, he is thrown out of the
airplane, leaving him for dead in a Cuban bay. Fortunately, for Jon
he survives the fall into the water and swims to lighted buoy from
where he rescued the next morning thanks to Sally’s and Tom’s
intervention. They are also quite well connected and have quite a
few resources at their disposal. After rest and recuperation from
his ordeal in the bay Jon continues his practice with Tom Sessions,
buys a home, and feels certain he is safe now, but he isn’t.
The Federal government has
discovered that he survived the toss into the Cuban bay as well as
his current whereabouts….again. However, this time Dr. Jon Conneaut
and Sally have decided to make their way to the Falklands, but again
he is discovered. The FBI apprehends him and flies him back to the
States. This time he is placed in a stark, cold concrete shack in
northern Michigan. With the winter approaching, he’s not expected
to survive very long without food or water, neither of which is
given to him. The next morning however, he is rescued by a
backwoodsman who calls himself a Democrat who was condemned to the
same cell but dug his way out years before. He has since made it
his mission to rescue anyone else who is brought and placed into
it. The woodsman, Rollins, befriends Jon and hides him in the deep
woods of Michigan, until Sally and Tom manage to find him and fly
him back to Bermuda. It’s a precarious trip in which they’re almost
shot down by a US Military jet commanded a high ranking officer (one
of the people who put John into the concrete shack) who has had it
up to his ears with the ‘Bitch President’, decides to let the man go
free. By this time an uprising occurs in the United States and the
Progressives take control of the government. ‘President’ Lisa
Christian is brought handcuffed and ironically locked away in the
same concrete shack….
In
the year 2214 there is a cold war between the United States and the
Islamic Republic of Europe. A space cruise ship, The Colossus,
is hijacked by a terrorist group known as The Islamic Dawn
terrorists with the intention of crashing it into Washington
to effectively destroy the United States
so the Islamic Republic of Europe can conquer the world. They
decide to hijack the ship when all its passengers are in the
observation lounge to watch Halley's Comet, which is in the inner
solar system at this time. However, two passengers, Josh Sessnoft
and Kelly Ju aren't in the observation lounge at the time of the
hijacking. It's up to them to stop the
terrorists' plot.
Kelly
uses her phone to call the Pentagon. But, their contact is
initially unconvinced of the veracity of the story. They need to
convince the United States government that this isn't a prank. So,
they decide to try to capture the bridge so they can send a message
from there. A message from the bridge would mean that they're
telling the truth because there would be no way they could do it if
they weren't.
Josh
and Kelly manage to acquire guns from terrorists and get into
firefights with the terrorist on more than one occasion. Ultimately
they capture the bridge and send a message from it. The terrorists
try to kill them numerous times but fail. However, they are
eventually captured.
The
president sends Delta Force, which rescues the passengers and crew
except for Josh and Kelly. They have been taken aboard an escape
pod with the terrorist leader, three of his compatriots, one of whom
is badly wounded and unconscious, the ship's doctor and the
infirmary receptionist. With the ship's doctor's help, Josh manages
to knock out a terrorist and take his sonic blaster. He enters the
cockpit. But, he has a problem, a sonic blast would blow out the
windshield in the cockpit and depressurize the escape pod. The
terrorist leader grabs his own sonic blaster and swings it toward
Josh. Josh kicks it out of his hand and it discharges, blowing out
the windshield. The two terrorists in the cockpit get sucked out
into space. Josh grabs hold of the doorway and manages to stay in
the
cockpit. Kelly orders one of the robots to pull Josh back into the
passenger cabin and close to door to the cockpit, thereby saving
themselves...
Zach and Maria are happy together, the terrible nightmare of the
Space Rock now behind them. Living in a small quiet fishing
village in New Brunswick has given them a chance to learn about
each other, and themselves.
Maria is fairing better than Zach. Tortured by awful dreams, he is
still struggling to cope with the past dramatic events. However, the
longer the burden of the damned rock separates from their lives, the
better they are at learning to live with its dreadful secret.
Over the brutal Canadian winter, the couple decides to head south in
their sailboat, Dancing Lady, whenever the spring thaw arrives. The
main reasons are to experience some tropical weather and SCUBA dive.
Confused, it seems like odd discoveries keep happening in their
lives. Discussions regarding them center on an embarrassing feeling
of over-paranoia.
Could their suspicions simply be a tragic by-product of a deadly
past still haunting them?
Has someone realized the truth behind Maria and Zach’s world-ending
deception?
Somewhere near the end of the year 2012 world governments are on the
precipice of all out war. The United States has become a socialist
state – a part of a "One World Order". The global economies are
falling apart and there is an effort to correct a pseudo-scientific
theory that the world is suffering from global warming brought on by
the industrial countries. The politicians have attempted to create
a significant revenue source by correlating the warming theory to
the burning of carbon-based fuels. A carbon tax is invented and
those in power are pleased. This adds further injury to the failing
world economies.
As this cataclysmic series of events further destroys the once
vigorous monetary systems of the world, healthcare in the United
States becomes state run. National pride there begins wane and
physicians leave their practices. A once enlarging group of senior
citizens begins to dwindle as a result of the effects of government
panels assign to assure "financial expediency" in the allowing of
certain medications, procedures and studies. In reality this
creates Death Panels.
In December the world is alerted to the arrival of a group of
extra-terrestrials who claim to be our Creators. They are angered
by our state of affairs and recognize our need for a new form of
energy which they share with us. They only allow governments that
have been in compliance with the original laws handed down to Moses
to use this new energy. This angers the other nations.
A group known as the Annunaki or errant angels arrives and foments
the mixture to the boiling point which explodes over the nation of
Israel. Several battles develop which culminate in a nuclear
explosion over a mound known as Har Megiddo in that nation. The
Creator releases the Seven Seals of Revelation and ultimately
subdues the rogue nations and captures the Annunaki. The biblical
prophesies are fulfilled and the world accepts the consequences and
is rewarded with one thousand years of peace.
The Second World
War has ended and Albert’s family has successfully escaped from
the Soviet army, as well as the Russian zone as it was being
established according to the Yalta agreement.
Albert has
developed a new cancer and while receiving one of his chemo
treatments, he drifts into his now familiar dream where he
recalls his family’s past existence since getting out of Nazi
Germany.
Through many
trials and tribulations, the family manages to reach the US zone and
find a DP ‘Displaced Persons’ United Nations camp, as far as they
could get from the borders of the Russian zone.
They enjoy one
happy and calm year in Wiesbaden under the protection of UNRRA.
However, the screening commission makes a tragic error while trying
to uncover any collaborators or persons that don’t fit the
classification of DP’s. To make matters worse, the commission
arrogantly refuses to admit its error or conduct a review. The
family is then expelled from the protection of the UN and thrown
back to the post war German authority. Meanwhile The German Red
Cross tries to reject them and absolve itself of responsibility for
them, but the family appeals to the UN to clear their name so that
they can be returned to its protection under the Charter.
Meanwhile they
are transported via a cattle car to a German make-shift ex prisoner
of war camp where again they endure lack of food and warmth from the
extreme cold of the 1946–47 winter.
The liberation
of Europe has not proven to be the relief from their misery that
they had anticipated.
