Rogue MD
Von Huffman
Rogue MD is a story of deception and a trust misplaced. One of society's most educated members, Dr. Marc Hobson, abuses this gift, driven by a devil which dwells within him. No taboos hold back this doctor-psychiatrist, including sex with a disturbed mental patient. Treating the patients by telephone consultation, he is determined to encourage them to take their own lives, using the depraved guise of assisted suicide. He feels that he is doing society a favor by ridding it of individuals who present disturbing mental conditions, and that the world would be better off without them.

Without laying a malicious finger on them, with his charm and charisma, he is able to seal their doom. The story's diary format, with intense verbal interaction between doctor and patient, will surely keep one riveted and at times shocked.

THIS BOOK IS written in diary form with some ten entries, each detailing a case history of a patient with a specific psychiatric problem. My name is Dr. Marc Hobson, although my patients know me only as Dr. Marc. My full name is not known to any of them. I am not listed in any telephone or professional directory and am a licensed physician, having completed a psychiatric residency program. I am thirty one and unmarried and had been in private practice for two years when I was contacted by the Eberwine Foundation. It was the hope of the foundation to have a positive impact in improving the way the nation’s psychiatric services were delivered, i.e. strictly by telephone in an anonymous relationship. I was the one chosen to head the program. That was the way it was supposed to be.
I now, honestly, note that I never intended to lead the program in the direction which it has taken. My reports to the Eberwine Foundation have been largely untrue and essentially falsified, but all for a good reason. I have kept a diary of my patients as a true history of what happened to them, a secret journal, known only to myself. Indeed, I have adhered to the oath of Hippocrates which reads in part, “That whatsoever I shall see or hear of the lives of men, which is not fitting to be spoken abroad, I shall keep inviolably secret.”
