Ivan Whittingshaw was born and educated in England. During his final English exam, he wrote an applauded graphic tale of a dangerous mountain rescue. It left him acutely aware of the power of the written word and the immense satisfaction to be enjoyed by creative authors.
After living and working in Canada for a number of years (where he loved to rally on the snow and ice covered back roads) he returned to England and continued his career in engineering. After a short period of manufacturing his own cars, he migrated to Australia. During the many long flights he took back to the U.K. he took the opportunity to caricature many of his work colleagues. It culminated in a fresh desire to write and Ivan became fully immersed in his emotional tale.
