EXCERPT

WITH LEONINE GRACE HE moves, elegant and assured, quietly lethal.  Prowling the inner recesses of my mind, he draws me into a courtly dance.  Mesmerized by the underlying steel I smell, my body melts into his rhythm.  The princess upon his arm masks the slut beneath the surface. Transfixed by the elegance of his sophistication, I am ensnared by the compassion of his cruelty.

The patron who inspires the mastery of myself, women envy my place by his side, unaware of the price he extracts for his regard. The vessel for his savagery, men yearn to posses me, yet lacking the iron fist to capture me. Physical torture, mental torment sweeten the beauty of our union, intensify the ecstasy for the arduousness of the trials endured.

He holds me close to his heart, swelling into magnificent strength as I flow into him.  The stateliness of our dance so interwoven, we glide as a single entity.  We live the dream that others seek.  They envy us our completion.

MASTER ARRANGED FOR FRIENDS to take me to the Christmas party, knowing that he was going to be late.  I didn't know them, barely knew anyone in his Brotherhood.

I dressed with exquisite care, wanting to bring him pride in my first introduction.  Watered crimson satin, heavy and flaring about my legs, delicate sequins embedded over the bodice.  I looked tall, elegant, young.  I felt lovely.  I saw the admiration in the male eyes, the dislike in most of the females'.  I was already used to this, life was normal.

There was a spare Brother to attend.  He explained that Master had telephoned, unable to attend the party, couldn't get out of his obligation.  However, I was to attend and enjoy myself, meet the others.  I was also now a member of the Society.

The host had decorated his home beautifully. Festive yet subdued. The grouping amassed was intelligent, humorous, attractive, alive.  Fully immersed in the lifestyle.  I was enjoying the interactions, learning a tremendous amount.  Most were kind.  It was clear Master was respected in this crowd.  His influence clearly overflowed to me.  At least enough that I was made welcome and offered politeness.  The evening was turning out to be better than I had anticipated, despite Master's absence.

Then the music started.  I watched many pair together and my heart ached.  I declined several invitations, until no more were offered.  I leaned against a column, hid partially behind it.  I wanted my Master, wanted to feel his arms about me, to have him hold me close as he led me in a dance.  The party was almost ruined for me, my wanting was so powerful.

A hand closed upon my wrist, spinning me quickly into strong arms.  One arm encircled my waist, pinning me heavily against his chest.  The deep base voice filled me with liquid honey as he whispered in my ear.

"Miss me, darling?"

He whirled me into a waltz.

It was so easy to follow him, to lose myself in the music and his hold.  He guided us through the dancers, around and around.  It was dizzying and joyous.

The others had vacated the floor, leaving it to us, watching our dance.  He covered every inch in a confident waltz.  I followed, softly flowing with him.  We were beautiful together, two beings gliding with indescribable grace.

The song was ending, his voice was a caress against my ear.

"I need to leave.  When I have, ask if it was a dream."

He spun me rapidly, his hand releasing my wrist.  When I stilled, he was gone.

I turned and looked at the crowd, caught the eyes of one I had met.

"Was it a dream, or was it real?"

Stars were shimmering in my eyes as a voice answered.

"Anything that looks and feels like that must be a dream."

They raised their glasses and another voice broke the silence.

"Here, here."

The glasses chinked in a toast.

I watched in a serene fog as the party continued.  His power still held me enthralled.

REVIEWS

Symphony of C Volume 2 Cara Mitchell Club Lighthouse Publishing ASIN B004ISKIPC

Rating: 4.5 out of 5 Paddles

Review:

This is obviously the second book in the series and actually starts at chapter fifty-one. So, while it can be read without reading the first, I highly recommend reading the first in order to full enjoy the second. It’s kind of tough to jump into a book at chapter fifty-one!

The first third of the story was very difficult for me to get involved in. It seemed disjointed and didn’t flow well (again, this could be because I haven’t read book one). But, as I continued, the last two-thirds of the book were just phenomenal. It flowed well as we experience the further training of Cara and how each stage impacts her emotionally and physically.

I have to say that some of her training went way past what I consider my limits. Although I didn’t find the reading of this erotic, I did find it psychologically fascinating. Admittedly, I was enthralled with the story telling and the experiences of Cara. Each stage she went through was more and more difficult and while I wish I could have the chance to experience her emotions, I don’t know if I could have handled the scenario’s as well as she did.

If you are looking for a well written story from a submissive/slave point of view, pick up Symphony of C Vol 2 (I still suggest Vol 1 first). Take your time to read it and enjoy learning about one woman’s experiences and emotions as she learns what it truly means to feel free in her submission.
