EXCERPT

TIME SEEMED TO STAND still for Presley and Reagan. It took little effort for the two of them to develop a close bond. They discovered new things to like about each other everyday. Reagan spent almost all of her free time with Presley. She loved being in his apartment and taking care of him. She was an accomplished cook and used her culinary talents to woo Presley every chance she got. Cooking for Presley was always a rewarding experience. He would hover around the stove in anticipation the whole time she prepared the meal. Watching him eat was another joy for Reagan. He would savour the first bite of his meal and moan with happiness. Sometimes he would lean back and close his eyes when he was finished eating, which usually led to him rubbing his belly in a gesture of thanks. Anytime Reagan cooked for Presley, he insisted on doing the dishes which made feeding him even more fun for Reagan. Presley always thanked her for her delicious meals, and provided some sort of intimate dessert.

It was on one of the nights that Reagan was cooking for Presley that they reached a higher level of understanding in their relationship. After dinner they were trying to watch a movie, but one kiss led to another, and the foreplay was beginning to escalate. It had been so long since Presley had a woman in his arms, and Reagan had never had these kinds of feelings for a man. Presley picked her up from the couch without releasing her mouth from his kiss. He took her into his bedroom and laid her on the bed. He had been tortured over the last few weeks with his need for her, but didn’t want to rush things. She was lying on the bed with her hair spread on a pillow. She looked almost angelic to him. He kissed her again and she wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled him down on top of her. He couldn’t keep his hands from exploring her body.

She was marvelling at his touch, and her body was awakening to sensations she had never experienced before. Presley gently pulled his shirt off, and lifted her up to remove hers. Feeling exposed and scared Reagan anticipated what would happen next. Presley’s hands were making magical things happen to her body. All of her exposed skin felt exhilarated. Everywhere he touched felt as if it were burning. He stood to remove his pants. Seeing him in a minimum of clothes made her feel flushed. His body was glorious. She felt her face flush a little as she looked Presley up and down. She started with his face, taking notice once again how beautiful he really was. His eyes, ablaze with passion, had changed from hazel to green in the dim light of his bedroom. She delighted in his large shoulders and pondered how magnificent if felt when he hugged her with his lean muscular arms. Presley’s abdomen was trim and firm accentuated by defined muscle. Thankfully for Reagan he was still wearing his underwear because the shock and awe of seeing him fully undressed would have been too much to bear in that moment. She continued her gentle exploration with her fingers, delicately trying to learn the contours of Presley’s body. She wanted him to feel the same amount of pleasure she was feeling.

He reached for the button on her jeans and slowly slid her pants from her body. Feeling a rush of desire, she tried to succumb to the thrill of the moment. Reagan wasn’t accustomed to being so intimate with a man and she panicked when Presley joined her on the bed again. His kiss was becoming intoxicating, and she wanted to be with him completely, but was holding in a secret. She tore her lips away from his and spoke in earnest need.

“Presley stop, I need a minute”

Presley rolled to her side and looked at her, “Is something wrong, was I hurting you?”

“No it’s not that at all, this is wonderful, I just feel like I should tell you something before we go any further.”

Presley pulled her close, “You’re shaking. If you’re afraid, please don’t be, you can tell me anything. If it’s important to you then it’s important to me. What is it you need to say?”

Reagan swallowed her fear and felt her face flush as she confessed in a whisper, “I’m a virgin. I know it’s hard to believe at my age, but I just haven’t found someone I wanted to be with. I’ve always tried to be true to myself. I always pictured my first time would be on my wedding night. I know that is a ridiculously old-fashioned notion, but I’ve never truly been tempted, until now.”

Presley was surprised by her news, but not all together shocked. Somehow he could tell Reagan didn’t have a lot of experience.

“Reagan, I’m glad you told me. I don’t think you’re old-fashioned, I think you’re virtuous. If you want to wait until your wedding night to make love then you should. I want you to know that I am completely fulfilled by our relationship as it is now. I don’t need anything from you that you aren’t prepared to give. Honestly it’s been a really long time since I’ve been with anyone, and I promised myself when we started dating that I would take things slow. Every time I touch you I want more, but I don’t want to do something neither one of us is ready for. In a way holding off will give us a chance to truly know and understand each other; without the distraction that can manifest itself when a man and woman share their bodies. I swear Reagan; you find a new way to amaze me everyday. ”

Reagan smiled at his understanding, “I find myself lost in the moment every time you touch me. It is hard to maintain my composure when you make me feel the way I do.”

“Well let’s make each other a promise not to rush things. I’m no saint Reagan, but I can wait as long as you want to. I admire you for holding on to your innocence for so long, not many women have your conviction.”
